Allowable Tension & Shear Loads (Seismic) in Cracked Lightweight Concrete over Metal Deck

  1. Loads are for single anchors with no reductions for edge or spacing distances and are derived per ICC-ES AC193 Section 6.4.3. For all other cases, calculate loads according to ICC-ES AC193, Section 6.4.3.
  2. Concrete compressive strength shall be 3,000 psi minimum.
  3. Loads are for anchors installed through the lower flute of metal decking and spaced along the length of the flute a distance equal to the greater of 3hef or 1.5 x flute width. See Figure A, Installation in Concrete over Metal Deck.
