Code Reports: Transition Period for New Acceptance Criteria

 

On January 1, 2007, ICC Evaluation Service began revising the existing code reports of all anchor manufacturers due to the adoption of new acceptance criteria.  These acceptance criteria consider the effect of cracked concrete on anchor performance and utilize ultimate strength design.

These changes have not been adopted by all building authorities.  Notably, California’s OSHPD and DSA have decided to accept the previous code reports until California begins enforcing the 2006 IBC (approximately January 2008).

To assist designers during the transition period, copies of both the current and previous ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are made available below:
